About Me

“I have taught for over 38 years and I enjoy all kinds of music. Having lived in Brazil for 28 years, I have an appreciation and love for the music from South America. I love to share this with my students, including pieces in their repertoire. I have done a lot of accompanying and I encourage my students in this area. I also have a duet partner, Teresa Tedder, and we perform extensively.”

Education & Background

Joanna received her Master’s Degree in Music Education and Piano from Campbellsville University and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Piano from Georgetown College.

What I Teach

Piano study and theory lessons. Joanna has taught Music History, Theory, Piano Literature and Music Appreciation at the university level for many years.
